Delivery is available. I like to know where my donkeys go.
All of our donkeys are up to date on worming, shots, and hoof care, and are micro chipped at birth. We also send in there registration application at birth so that when they leave the farm, to there new home you will have there papers. They leave here with a NEW halter and lead rope. And a complete Health records all tucked away in a nice book to keep every thing together. We want everything to go well for our new owners.
I like my donkeys to go in pairs. There for I give discounts if three or more donkeys go to the same home.
I do not work off the farm. I have many volunteers that love to come out to the farm and help with the donkeys. I spend all day with my donkeys. I like my donkeys to have large pastures to roam in. I have several large farms where I keep my donkeys in the summer months. I do not crowed them into small pastures where they cannot run and have fun.
I do rescue donkeys when need be. Normally they are in abusive homes or just neglected and in poor health. I will bring them home and work with them and get them back in to good health. If they have been trained or just tought wrong then I will work with them and train them to do things right. I will never re-home or sell any rescue uness I know they are safe. My nephew will work with all the rescues and he is only 13 years old. If they are safe with him they will be safe for anyone.
I do rescue alot of intact males. Alot of breeders in my area like to sell you a breeding jack as a pet. (THEY ARE NOT A PET). They like to sell you a gelding for 1000.00++++ and you need to pay for the gelding. If they are a responsible breeder they will pay to geld there own animals. And not sell intact males to unexpected buyers.
All breeders should have health records on there donkeys. Listing everything that the donkeys has had done with them. When I rescue donkeys I try to find out every thing about that animal and put that on the records. But most of all when the rescues come home I have the vet check them out and he gives all the shots that they need and takes cares of any other need also. Then we will start from there.
Just because people have large herds does not mean they do not spend time with them. People can spend as much time with there animals as they want. There are people that have small herds that never go out there and spend time with each donkey. They expect there live in help to do so. And then when the donkeys don't mind them they are not happy with the donkey. What would you expect when the animal does not know them. When I go out into my fields with strangers all of my donkeys come up to visit. They know if I am there they will be safe. They know that I would never put them in danger. Here is one of my customers experiences. http://www.themoodymare.com/2015/07/,ini-donkey-show-halter.html
I have never had a unhappy customer in all my years for raising animals. I started raising animals back in the 1960's. When I sell any animal I am always willing to buy them back if for some reason they are unable to keep them. I will never abandon any animal that I raise/sell. Or if there is any animal out there in need of my help I will be there for them. I am the only breeder in the state that works with rescue groups and sheriff office's offices to rescue the donkeys. I have many people that foster the rescues. They love to help.
I am not into the donkey for the money like others are. I am into the donkey because I love them.
